‘Be the Light in the Darkness’

This year we will not be hosting our vigil to remember all the people who have died through genocide around the world.

In the Holocaust, in Bosnia, Rwanda, Darfur, Cambodia and other places millions of people have been murdered and others have endured and survived with their lives changed forever.

The national ceremony to mark Holocaust Memorial Day will take place on line and those wishing to attend please register on the home page of the HMD website.

This year’s theme is Be the Light in the Darkness and we are all encouraged to light a candle and place it in a window at 8.00pm on Wednesday January 27th to honour all those who died and those who survived and to express our commitment to a world without genocide.

A candle will be lit in a window at the meeting house that evening.
