The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 31 October–12 November 2021. Quakers are undertaking various actions in the run up to COP26.

Annual meeting of British Quakers - 

This year’s annual meeting of Quakers in Britain considered the subject “For our comfort and discomfort – living equality and truth in a time of crisis”.  

Three important themes emerged:

The children of Brighton Quaker Meeting have made an on-line banner about refugees.

The next few weeks are crucial in persuading MPs to challenge the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill. Quakers in Britain will be lobbying on this at a national level, but we need your help to persuade your local MP to speak out against the bill.

Quakers joined with the Women's League for Peace and Freedom in Brighton's Quaker garden to mark National Conscientious Objectors day on 15 May.

We are very pleased to announce that the Meeting House has reopened for Meetings for Worship at 10.30am every Sunday. 

Brighton Quakers’ thriving Children’s Meeting have been reviewing the past year. They have produced some inspired artwork celebrating the topics which they have considered. The group is currently meeting on Zoom between 10am and 11am on the third Sunday of each month.

Justice at last for the Stansted 15. Appeal Court judges have ruled that "There was, in truth, no case to answer," and that the convictions be squashed.
