It is in the nature of our Quaker community in Brighton that we do not seek to make profit from the letting out of our rooms and facilities. However we do need to earn a sufficient amount to be able to operate and carefully maintain the two hundred year old Grade II star listed building. For this reason we hope that our rates are fair and competitive.
Below we have set out room rates, refreshment charges and equipment available.
Room Rates from 1st January 2009
Unless stated otherwise there is a minimum booking period of two hours on all rooms. Bookings for events in 2009 made after 06/10/08 are to be charged the below rates.
- ROOM 2: £8.00 per hour.
- ROOMS 3 & 4: £10.00 per hour.
- LECTURE ROOM: £17.00 per hour for the first four hours and £12.00 per hour afterwards.
- MEETING ROOM: £22.00 per hour for the first four hours and £12.00 per hour afterwards. Minimum booking period of 2 hours, or 3 hours on Saturdays.
- CAFÉ ROOM: Varying rates depending on use. Please discuss with the staff.
Festival events charges during May 2010
- MEETING ROOM: From 4pm: £25.00 per hour.
- LECTURE ROOM: Same rates as through the year.
- ROOMS 2, 3 & 4: Same rates as through the year.
Refreshment Charges
Provision of a cup of tea/coffee including biscuits: 35p per person per serving.
It is possible for groups to provide their own refreshments. There are two kitchens available for self catering. You will need to plan arrangements with the warden.
You can order food from outside caterers to be delivered to the building.
Equipment Available
Chairs and tables. Whiteboards in rooms 2,3 and 4. Movable whiteboard for the Lecture room and Meeting Room (ground floor). Projector screens in the Lecture Room and Meeting Room. OHP and Slide Projector. Flip charts and pens. TV with DVD and TV with Video.

There is no additional charge.

- Tuesday: 9.00am to 10.00pm
- Wednesday: 9.00am to 10.00pm
- Thursday: 9.00am to 10.00pm
- Friday: 9.00am to 6.00pm
- Saturday: 9.00am to 6.00pm
